Very tasty and top service

Excellent cuisine, quick preparation and great selection. We were particularly impressed by the shrimps and the Boeuf Bourguignon! The prices are quite high, but the Wackes convinces with quality and friendly service!

Wackes is what you are looking for if you want original French cuisine. Excellent enjoyment and rudimentary equipment are an excellent basis. If you want to offer your loved one something apart from "normal" in Cologne, you are in good hands here. Let yourself be inspired by Alsatian cuisine and enjoy the evening. It is not super expensive, but it will definitely be 3 digits if you really enjoy the evening together. But then you had some of it for a few hours. Vieeel fun!

Good Alsatian cuisine!

Very bad value for money my taste. The quality of the ingredients did not match the price, the taste was absolutely average. 142 € for a little Boeuf Stroganoff, a little Coq au Vin and an absolutely average bottle of wine that, despite the recommendation, didn't go well with the food, seems a bit overpriced to me. First and last time. Too bad.

Very tasty cuisine in a very special atmosphere. The Wackes team is always on the ball without making it seem stressful. Corn salad and tarte flambee would be my recommendation.

A very fine shop, great dishes, great service and a beautiful romantic place that invites you to dream. We will be back!!!

It wasn't my case. THE SPICES ARE MISSING, but the prices are ambitious.

A small super cozy restaurant with typical Alsatian cuisine. The tarte flambée is just great, which the boss persl. brought to the table. The service was very friendly and quick. We will be happy to come back.

If you spontaneously have a nice evening. We were greeted by the owner and we could choose a table for two. I immediately noticed that there are napkins made of cloth, very accommodating and not common. The menu offers a wide variety of excellent food. The wine ordered a real dream, the taste and the temperature perfect. Now the very best: since we did not have so much appetite, we ordered only a starter. The came but now on two plates prepared, where there is something, a perfect service. The appetizer was perfect in terms of taste. The whole evening was just round and nice. Also on the toilets you can see that someone here appreciates his guests; from fresh towels to toiletries you can find everything here. If you want to forget everything around you in the middle of Cologne and want to enjoy a well-kept evening, then here. ?

Was there a long time ago, with some friends. Best reservieren.Feldsalat as a starter was great, but also very expensive. It was very busy and comfortable.

A very successful evening with a very good meal in a nice environment with a perfect host. Even if the restaurant was very well filled everyone had their food well tempered and very good tasted. We will be back!

The place was nice enough to make me a Tarte flambée that was half classic Alsacian and half goat cheese perfumed with honey. Both halfs were pretty good, the dough underneath it all crispy and flaky.

I've always liked to eat here and there in the evening. As a couple, we have always paid something over 300 euros with wine here. The service of Chef is special, but we have always been secretive, funny about his style. Currently you do not even need to respond to reservation requests, by e-mail. Therefore, we often take our money elsewhere from now on.

Nice atmosphere, but very close. Especially on the ground floor the chairs and tables are very close to each other. The food is excellent. The host is very keen to sell his guests as many dishes as possible.

Small fine eatery, hardly to get a seat without pre-order. Delicious food and excellent wines. For the offered quality affordable prices. Staff despite the sold-out house relaxed and friendly. Recommendation!

Here you always spend a relaxing evening. However, you should bring a little patience, if the place is full, it may take some time in the food sequence. But despite high operation, the kitchen performance is impeccable.

The food was decent, but the price was a massive ripoff... they tried to charge us 98€ euro per person, after a very long discussion we managed to go down to 80€... still way too much!
